Hey there Molly,
Really appreciate the previous purchases, and with your coupler height of 17 inches and hitch height of 8-1/2 inches, what you need is a ball mount that will get you as close as possible to an 8-1/2 inch rise - within 1/4 of an inch. For that we have a ball mount that gives you 8-3/4 inches of rise:
- Convert-A-Ball Ball Mount for 2" Hitches # AMSC10
Not only is this the right size for you, the # AMSC10 is a cushioned ball mount, which is really nice as it reduces vibration... view full answer...
You absolutely can flip a ball mount upward to keep taller trailers level when it's needed. It's important to make sure the ball mount you purchase has a "rise" rating as there are a few exceptions to this rule, but for the vast majority of ball mounts on the market you can safely use them in either the rise or drop configuration.
If you don't already have a ball mount I highly recommend checking out the B&W Tow & Stow 2-Ball Mount # BWTS10037B which not only has multiple height adjustments,... view full answer...
To tow a jetski trailer with your 2019 Ford Mustang Fastback you will need a hitch, wiring harness, ball mount, and hitch ball 2" or 1-7/8". I have listed these parts below along with any installation videos we may have:
Trailer Hitch - Draw-Tite item # 24928
Wiring Harness - Curt T-Connector item # C56088
Ball Mount - Draw-Tite Drawbar item # 3593
Hitch Ball - 2" Hitch Ball item # 19258 or 1-7/8" Hitch Ball item # 19256 view full answer...
You are going to want a ball mount with a 2" drop for your utility trailer. We have a kits for a 1-7/8" # C45034 or 2" # C45534 hitch ball. We also have the Wrench # C20001 for tightening the hitch ball. view full answer...
Hey Kelly, there's actually an easier way to tow the Malone LowBed MicroSport Trailer part # MPG464-LB with the current hitch you have installed as this does not require the trailer hitch to be a 2 inch trailer hitch and instead just requires a 2 inch hitch ball. You would just need a ball mount for your current hitch like the part # 3594 and a 2 inch hitch ball like the # 19258. view full answer...
There is the potential for noise when using the Rapid Hitch Adjustable Aluminum Ball Mount Kit # AM3417. This is common for adjustable ball mounts since they have several moving parts. If there was no room for movement it would be too difficult to adjust. If you watch the review videos below you can hear the sound from that little bit of play when the ball mount is flipped over. Weight from the trailer will help reduce that unless you're on rough roads. I wouldn't expect it to be any more... view full answer...
Hey Don,
Here are the parts I recommend for a trailer hitch, 7-Way wiring, and getting your Prodigy P3 # 90195 set up on your 2023 Dodge Durango:
- etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98901
- Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C56336
- Universal Installation Kit # ETBC7
- Mounting Bracket # C83DR
I really like the etrailer hitch because it has a more durable matte black finish, the Curt T-Connector gets you the 4-Way connector for basic trailer lighting, and then the Universal... view full answer...
Hi Gary,
If you do have the Stealth Hitches Hidden Rack Receiver # SH56VR installed on your 2018 BMW X5 then you'll need the Towing Kit w/ Ball Mount and Trailer Wiring Kit # SH98VR in order to tow a trailer. This kit will come with the ball mount attachment as well as the wiring needed to pass your traffic signals back to the tail lights of the trailer. view full answer...
Great question Rasheed!
We definitely have the parts you need to trailer tow with your 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe, but as far as what comes with the OEM tow package for your vehicle goes, I was unable to find what exact parts Hyundai would install. Sometimes it's just a hitch and wiring, while other times it also includes a transmission cooler as well.
With that being said, here are the parts I recommend for your Santa Fe:
- Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # 13538
- T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness... view full answer...
Hey Buddy, so the Fastway Adjustable Ball Mount part # DTSTBM6825-2S is a really great choice for the 2-1/2 inch hitch of your 2021 Ford F-250 which is going to be very solid in your hitch due to it's built in anti-rattle device that is easy to use. This acts as somewhat of an anti-theft device as a thieve would need to know that it's an allen wrench that is needed to loosen the device and they'd have to have the right size wrench.
But what you can also go with is a hitch lock like the... view full answer...
Hey Fred, yes you could remove the ball of the Curt ball mount part # C43JR, flip the ball mount over, and then reinstall the ball to use it as a rise ball mount instead. For basically the exact same thing but for a 2 inch hitch you would want the Curt ball mount part # C45332. view full answer...
I think we have a solution for you here, but the two parts you mentioned are using an adapter and adapter together. What you can do instead is which is use a Gen-Y ball mount shanks with stacked receivers. This gives you the ability use both a ball mount and bike rack, stacked at different heights so they don't interfere with each other. I'm not sure how much more rise you need, so here are a couple options:
- 7-1/2" Drop/Rise: Shank for Gen-Y Adjustable Ball Mount # 325-GH-304
- 10"... view full answer...
Hey Mason, I wasn't able to find anything relating to that part number but basically you're going to need to pick a ball that has the correct ball diameter (1 7/8", 2", 2 5/16") for your trailer, and shank diameter (the diameter of the ball hole on your WDS) your WDS needs.
So for instance, if your WDS had a 1 1/4" diameter hole, and your trailer used a 2" ball, then something like the 2" Hitch Ball for Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution Systems # EQ91-00-6080 would work.

A Tri-Ball mount like the MaxxTow # MT70021 is going to be the only style ball mounts we have with no rise. You can use the Draw-Tite Ball Mount # 2923 in the rise position with a 2" Ball # 63845. This will only sit 3/4" above the top of the receiver opening. It would be the closest we have to the Curt Towing Starter Kit # C45147 you found. view full answer...
Hey David,
Yes, the Reese Sway-Control Bracket for 2" Ball Mounts # RP26003 would be a compatible match with the Ball Mount Adapter for Convert-A-Ball Cushioned Weight Distribution Shank # BA-1. If you need the hitch ball as well for the sway-control bracket then you can use part # RP58060 for the ball and part # 37201001 for the pin. This bracket is 3/8" thick so you'll want to check if the shank of the hitch ball is long enough to accommodate the increased thickness. view full answer...
Hey Tom, we have just what you are looking for with the Curt ball mount part # C45002 which is a dual ball setup like you mentioned that has a 2 inch ball on one side and a 2-5/16 inch ball on the other side. view full answer...
Hey Paul, in order to obtain a 2" hitch ball setup for the Trailer Valet RVR3 Remote-Controlled Trailer Dolly part # TVRVR3-BB225 which comes with a 2-5/16" hitch ball you simply need the Replacement 2" Hitch Ball for Trailer Valet part # TVHB2. There isn't a way to order it with just the 2 inch hitch ball. view full answer...
Hey there Ray; thanks for the earlier purchase of the Gen-Y Glyder Shock Absorbing Ball Mount for 2" Hitches - 2" Drop # 325-GH-12001, and there is a ball platform that will allow you to get more drop. You can get up to 6" of drop with the following:

Congrats on the new SUV, I would be happy to recommend those parts! To add a hitch to your 2024 Hyundai Palisade, I recommend the etrailer item # e95ZR. This hitch is custom fit and bolts to your Hyundai with included hardware. It is a class III hitch with a 2" receiver that has a 5,000 lbs towing capacity and a 750 lbs maximum tongue weight so it will have plenty of ability to pull a uhaul trailer.
